About Me

My name is Jake Tolar and I am a missionary with the Chicago Eagles! For this first year of ministry my official role is “resident.” This means that I am involved with all parts of the ministry including Micro League, After School, Youth Club and Summer Academy. Additionally I am being intentionally discipled by multiple staff members and working through a spiritual formation curriculum.

People and sports are my two favorite things, so I have been interested in coaching and using that as a platform for the gospel since I was in high school. While in college at Cairn University, I participated in two tours of the Summer Academy in 2022 and 2023 which God used to call me into full time ministry with the Eagles.

I have been with the Eagles since January 2025 and I currently live in Wheaton.
